This is my second interior visualization project rendered with Yafaray 0.1.2 (beta). One new features in this version is the ability to add IES data. IES data are files contain information about the light distribution of a lighting fixture. For this project I am using Erco IES data.
I finally figured out by enabling the Meshlight of an object in Yafaray the model will illuminate the surrounding when using Photonmapping rendering method. Previously I was using material to set the emitting property which it was able to cast light when rendered with Pathtracing method but not with Photonmapping.
